Biography
Professional writer, political satirist, social commentator, and author Denrique Preudhomme delivers writing appeal to a variety of readers. Born in San Fernando, Trinidad, Denrique resides inWashington, DC. She is a graduate of the University of Trinidad and Tobago. She also studied at the University of the West Indies and in the U.S.A. She is a foreign scholar in the field of Creative Arts.
Denrique is the author of a book of thought-provoking social and political articles, The Undisguised Truth, a book of riveting short fiction, Stranger Than Fiction, and a book of moving poems, Reflections of Realism. She is the recipient of the Urban Spectrum Newspaper National Writers Award for Best Collection of Short Fiction, and is profiled in the 59th Edition of Marquis Who's Who in America®. She is currently writing her next book, a thriller titled Deception is Reality.
Denrique is also a literary activist and former participant in the New York is Book Country school program, a program created and designed to support and enhance literacy in New York Cityhigh schools. The program was previously run from the Office of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. Denrique continues to support literacy in various high schools, as well as, conducts writing workshops. She is the owner of The Creative Writer, a professional writing services company based in Washington, DC. She is a member of the Writers' League of Texas.
An avid reader and excellent scrabble player, Denrique divides her time between New York City and Washington, DC. She enjoys reading Newsweek and Forbes Magazine in her spare time.
